BYRON RECORDS FALL

The hot action on the track made up for the cool temperatures and rain that fell on Byron Dragway's Auto Meter Spring Nationals on April 25. Funny Car drivers Tim Wilkerson and Cory Lee made two passes down the track before the rain curtailed their action. Wilkerson (above left) set a new Byron e.t. record with a 5.157 pass at 266 mph. Lee, at the helm of Dale Creasy's car, set a new Byron speed record at 290.63 mph.
