The Outlaw Pro Mod competition
continued Aug. 20 at Iowa's Eddyville Raceway Park.
Aaron Hodges (shown) took the win
in Pro Outlaw competition behind the wheel of his nitrous
assisted, 1963 Split Window Corvette over Bruce Micetich in
the Micetich & McCormick blown alcohol 1957 Chevy. In
the final round, Hodges posted a 4.15 at 178 mph to take the
win against Micetich's 4.38/167.
Hodges battled his way through the field of Outlaw Pro Modified
competitors that included David Janes in his self-built IHRA
Pro Stock Firebird, Terry Murphy in the Punisher Motorsports/DRO
'68 Camaro, Marshall Andersen and his '68 Camaro, and Jeff
Belloma and "The Beast" 1963 Corvette powered by
a ProCharged SBC. Also in attendance were Delon Joseph and
John Hocking.
The Punisher Motorsports team of Donnie
Little and Terry Murphy take turns driving the car. Kansas
City chassis builder Murphy got the honors at Eddyville.
Dennis Griffin (shown) and his mountain
motored '68 Camaro took the win in Outlaw Pro Street over
Lee England and his 2000 Pontiac Grand Am powered by a 706
ci Buck Racing engine. England went red, giving the automatic
win to Griffin. England had set the pace with a 4.47 at 159
mph followed by No. 2 qualifier Griffin with a 4.58/152.
