KEEP A WATCH OUT FOR THIS SNAKE!

The Agent received word that down in Florida someone made off with Doug Rose's trailer and the Green Mamba jet dragster. Keep an eye out for either vehicle and contact Curt Eierdam at ceierdam@cox.net or call 602-330-9508 and he will forward the information to Doug.  [11-6-2006]

FUNNY CARS TO THE STAGING LANES

The annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas brought together some beautifully restored cars for their Salute to the American Muscle Car with restorations from every manufacturer on display all over the grounds and inside the Convention Center. We found these two funny car gems from drag racing history parked close to the show's main entrance.

Gas Ronda's Ford SOHC-powered, flip-front, poppy red Mustang was one of the best-known and most popular funny cars on the West Coast during the 1960's and won the ‘67 Manufacturers Race at Orange County International Raceway. The blue flip top flopper is one of Connie Kalitta's Ford Boss 429-powered Mustangs. Somebody just needed to fire them up! (Darr Hawthorne photos)  [11-6-2006]
