Canadian Larry Sinke (above) made his second Super Chevy Show Nitro Coupe final in as many weeks at the Norwalk Raceway Park Stop May 5-7.  This time around, he came out on top, edging the '63 Corvette Nitro Coupe of New Jersey racer Chris Russo in the finals.  Sinke, who hails from Wellman, Ontario, drove his Hammer Racing '67 Nova SS Nitro Coupe to a 6.384, 218.69 mph blast down Norwalk's famed quarter mile.  Russo (below) had a six hundredths hole shot but couldn't close the deal as he ran a 6.526 at 217.21.

Hometown Hero Maurice Edwards (below) of Norwalk, Ohio scored a rare double win in the Super Chevy Show bracket wars, winning the Bracket Two and D.O.T. (street legal) honors.  He used a pair of Camaros and some stellar lights to do the deed, winning Bracket Two with a.030 light; in the D.O.T. final, Maurice improved to a .018 bulb (complete bracket race results below).

After a week off, the Super Chevy Show's 26th Annual tour heads to George Howard's Huntsville Dragway where, for the first time, three heads -up 1/8 mile classes (5.50, 6.0, 7.0) in addition to (1/8 mile) racing in the familiar Mr. Gasket Bracket One, Bracket Two and D.O.T. classes.
