Super Comp
The quickest of the index classes is Super Comp, which is a 10.90 ET index class that leaves on a 0.4 pro-tree. In years past the class has been dominated by the turbo cars. This year, the naturally aspirated cars have not only been in the hunt but been have made some kills. Driving his NA car Joel Carter made the trek from Washington state leading the points by slim 3-point margin in front of Bob Hemphill, and 29 points in front of Chris Brown. Last year’s SC Champion, Mike Sheldon, was out of reach for the Championship, but is always seen as a threat.

Chris Brown went out in the first round by way of red light and Bob Hemphill was eliminated by Mike Sheldon in the second round. Joel tried to continue his NA assault on turbo cars in the final round and faced the 2006 SC Champion, Sheldon. Joel lost to Mike but remained on top in the points chase to take the 2007 Championship.
