Michael Iacono (far lane) survived from the 29th position in Stock qualifying to earn the final-round win with his ’69 Mustang over the wheelstanding ’69 Camaro of Maspeth, NY’s Peter Biondo.

In an all-injected-nitro final at Atlanta, number-five qualifier Spencer Massey (far lane) of Ft. Worth, TX, prevailed in Top Alcohol Dragster over St. Timothee, Quebec’s Dan Mercier.

For the third-straight year, New Jersey’s Frank Manzo won the Top Alcohol Funny Car title in Atlanta, this time starting from the number-one slot and beating Marc White (far lane) in the final round.

Number-eighth qualifier Glen Treadwell (far lane) from Sorrento, FL, steered to the Comp Eliminatior win over Steve Ambrose and his Woodhaven, MI-based ’23 T roadster.


The Super Comp win went to Edmond Richardson (far lane) in Atlanta, as he edged fellow Tennesseean Mike Fuqua in the final round.

The redlight tells the story. South Carolina’s Billy Crenshaw left five thousandths too soon in his ’27 Ford, allowing Dan Fletcher of Churchville, NY, an easy win with his ’57 Vette in the Super Gas final.
