These days Mayer is working on a variety of new designs including a new iteration of his design for the alky burners as well as looking at making his own version of the “Screw Compressor” now so popular in Outlaw Pro Mod and tractor pulling. But that’s not all. He is also working with several race teams to develop a new 6-71 to 14-71 series of standard rotor superchargers for use on Nostalgia nitro cars, which mandates a 6-71, and NHRA/IHRA nitro class blower, which is limited to a 14-71.

He offered to give DRO an exclusive look at the CAD drawings of his new nitro superchargers and we, of course, leaped at the opportunity to
bring our readers a look at
these new units.

The NHRA superchargers have been developed with the help of Tim Wilkerson and the newest 6-71 NHRA-legal unit design is getting tested on the brand new Romine-Spitzer-Burk AA/FC.

So, here are the 3-D designs of both new DMPE ‘chargers. Understand that these actually haven’t been carved yet. Right now each case and end plates are just blocks of billet aluminum sitting on the DMPE floor next to the CNC machines, waiting their turn. We don’t have any actual performance numbers as of yet but we are including the information that Mayer furnished. He did say that the alky version of the M-Series Supercharger, after utilizing their 3D machining capabilities, removed ten lbs. from the unit.

Here's What's New!
