Steve Engel smokes the tires of his ’63 Corvette. In the first round of eliminations he had a .0003 light against Mike Ashley, but fell to tire shake in the right hand lane.
A nice view of the ’41 Willys of Kirk Kuhns. In the first round Kuhns had a big holeshot, but Russo ran him down on the top end to take the win by about 5 feet. Russo ran 6.081/237.96 and Kuhns posted a 6.141 233.12.
Scott Ray’s ’53 Corvette made the field but turned on the red light in the first round against Pontieri.
