They’re both wearing really big diamonds, boys.

Index racing in 7.0, 6.0 and other quicker categories has rapidly replaced other more expensive heads up classes not only in area sanctioning bodies, but at local tracks as well. Heath Daniel was at the Rock with his all steel 1952 Henry J which runs on E85.

Annette Summer was also on hand testing her twin turbo ’57 Chevy, which replaces last year’s Vette that won the 2007 Orlando Street Finals. While they are still figuring out the clutch, they were able to post some 4.20’s at 175+ in the eighth mile.

Richard Reagan was the low qualifier in Real Street at the Spring Civil Wars with a 5.396 at 131.46, which is a stock suspension, small block class running on a maximum 26x10 rear tire. Reagan was in the finals against Danny Phillips.

Brian Price came from the fifth qualifying position with this 1966 Vette in Top Street to split the purse with Jeremy McElreath, Jason Richards and Brad Edwards after the event was called.

Roger and Keith Szabo were the low qualifiers in Limited Street with a strong 4.805 at 162.74 mph in this turbo Fox body that was once campaigned by the late Steve Grebeck.
