Fresh from his domination of Hot Rod Magazine’s Drag Week during which he drove the car 1200 miles in five days while clocking 7.3-second, 204-mph runs, Kansas City chassis builder Larry Larson blasted the Outlaw Eliminator field with a best-ever 4.72 eighth mile at 164.73 mph. The twin-turbocharged 565-cubic inch street-legal beast produced 60-foot elapsed times as quick as 1.26 seconds!

ADRL standout and all-around nice guy John DeFlorian earned Low ET and Top Speed honors in Outlaw Eliminator with a first-round 4.03/186.46 from his 820-inch nitrous oxide-aided Bankston Boys/Jerry Haas Race Cars 2006 Corvette.

Mark “Woody” Woodruff unleashed an astounding series of runs en route to the Super Street Eliminator title. On true 10.5 tires, Woodruff’s show-quality ‘67 Corvette blazed to a 7.51 (with a 4.95 eighth mile), to lead qualifying, and then posted an amazing 197.68-mph blast in the final round on a 7.71 winning effort. Woodruff’s Pro Line Racing-prepped twin-turbocharged 565-inch big block also hit 1.26-second “sixties”.
