The 22nd annual Goodguys Friday Night Drags at Pacific Raceways in Kent, Wash., was a success by any standard with a ticket-buying crowd estimated to be North of 6,000 watching more than 200 pre-1972 drag cars and a booked in show of front-motored dragsters race for the Goodguys’ trophy, money and prestige.

The Friday night drag race is held annually as part of the part of the Goodguys Pacific Northwest Nationals at the Puyallup Fair & Expo Center.

The tight five-hour show featured five Eliminator classes: Hot Rod I and II, Street Machine I and II and Comp Eliminator, as well as a racing exhibition put on by Northwest Top Eliminator Association. [Ed. Note: the car photos from the drags were not identified so if we match the wrong cars and names it was inadvertent.]
