he first pre-season test and tune session on the West Coast took place at Firebird International Raceway this past weekend. DRO, anticipating a large turnout of Pro cars, sent three of its best lensmen, including James Drew, Mark Ribilas, and Senior Photographer Ron Lewis.

Unfortunately, neither the weather nor the racers cooperated. It rained most of the weekend, and the total combined number of Nitro Funny Cars and Top Fuel cars testing was ten, and that's including one Nostalgia Funny Car and one Nostalgia Top Fuel car.

The times certainly weren’t spectacular,
but DRO’s photographers still gave us
some great shots of the cars and drivers
that were present.
