Check Out That Chassis

Scott,

You so graciously explained C/G front to back. How do you figure height? General opinion has been the end of the camshaft at the back of the block, can you further expand on this?

Thanks for your assistance,

Martin,

Every time we have to figure CG height here in the shop, I have to get out my Doorslammers chassis book, To do this, I thought I could explain it easily but after rereading the 4 pages in this book it is fairly complicated. With out rewriting the book pages here the best I can do is to tell you to buy the book. There is no easy way to explain it. The cam shaft method will work but it is not accurate from car to car, if you are working with the same car every time it will be close enough. Sorry this isn't the answer you were looking for.
