Morgan Benfield was the sole female winner at the U.S. Drags. She drove through a tough 15-car field to win the race. She not only had the quickest and fastest Jr. Dragster with a best ET of 8.005/81.08, but she also owned the lowest average dial-in.
She and opponent Tyler Allen had a great double breakout final. Allen dialed an 8.11 and ran an 8.093. He had the race in the bag as he had .008 in the bank but Benfield ran a 8.005 on her 8.01 dial, forcing her opponent to breakout.
