Dan Rawls (shown) totally dominated the EFI Renegade class.  Rawls landed in the top qualified spot over the rest of the field with a 8.3492 164.192 and he proceeded to squeeze his nitrous oxide injected entry into the finals against Chris Van Gilder’s supercharged convertible.  There, Rawls finished his sweep of the class with an 8.41 effort that got him the victory.

Jason Lee (shown) qualified low in the Drag Radial class with a 7.8911. He coupled that with a Top Speed blast of 180.121. Lee had a stranglehold on his tune-up as he steadily got quicker every round and almost re-set the class record on every lap. In the final, Lee met up with Enzo Pecchini in a rematch of Bradenton’s finals, with Lee’s 7.94 turning on the win light.

The Hot Street class had 2009’s #1 and #2 points finishers in the final round – Don Bowles and Robbie Blankenship battled it out for the gold on Sunday, with Bowles’ 8.54 taking the stripe in the final. Bowles set Low ET at 8.495 with Charlie Booze Jr. running 158.95 mph for Top Speed.
