Lancaster’s Mack Moffat put his Mike’s Transmission Corvette into the field at #9 with a 6.975, only 172.96 mph.

There was horsepower plus with the Magco Drilling Camaro of Mike Maggio, but he had a hard time getting the car in its groove at 6.606, 228.09.

Joe Alworth’s N2O ‘37 Chevy, Canadian Jay Syvertsen’s PSI blown ‘38 Chevy coupe, Randy Hagerty’s Hurst Wheels N2O Corvette, Mike Bowman’s turbo Chevelle, Karl Wilson’s blown Vette, and Jeremy Hanger’s blown Studebaker rounded out this very stout field.

It was a lackluster first round in which there were four singles due to breakage and only one really good pass of 6.384 by Maggio’s Kirk Kuhns-tuned ‘70-1/2 Camaro.

The second round was supposed to be the two 57’s of John Scialpi and Tony Marino but Marino could not make the call giving his engine builder a free pass into the next round.
Bowman could not get his big block turbo ‘68 Chevelle back together in time either so
Oksas made a strong half pass at 8.40 only 121 mph. Hairston stepped it up as his crew chiefs, Shane Tecklenberg and Jake Hairston, got it dialed in at 6.203, 237.67 mph as Canadian Jay Syvertsen got way out of shape and clicked it off to a 9.20. Spike Gorr was lending a hand on the Syvertsen car this weekend.

After it looked like Scialpi might make it two wins in a row, he lost traction against a tough Oksas, so Oksas made his first final in Pro Street at 6.605/218.19 mph. In the other big match up it was Maggio versus Hairston. Maggio had problems staging the big BAE-powered Camaro and rolled through the lights, giving the Hairston clan the win at an incredible 6.120/238.30, which is now the all time speed record at PSCA.

The final put two best friends, Oksas and Hairston, against each other. Bill Hickok could not lose as he built both cars, but it ended up all GTO and the Hairston family as Clint laid down a 6.084 at 240.85 mph. to Scott’s game 6.545, 220.76 mph. Yes, the 240 was the fastest speed of the event but no back up this weekend.
