Matt Amrine

In the Factory Stock class, Tommy Godfrey arrived on Saturday morning, shifting his copper ’89 Mustang into the number-one spot with an 11.16. In eliminations, Matt Amrine put an awesome 11.09 on the board to eliminate Godfrey and move to the final, while Carlos Sobrino made it to the final through Jay Dold. There, Sobrino lit the red bulb, handing away the victory to Amrine.

In the Modular Muscle class, Canada’s Randy Mounce hit the tree with a .007 reaction time to lead the field into eliminations. There, Donnie Bowles and Russ Gabbard beat out the competition to face off in the finals, where Gabbard turned on the red bulb to hand Bowles his second win in as many weeks.

Gary Windsor

Points leader Johnny Lightning put an .028 reaction time on the board to take the Truck and Lightning competitors into the elimination sessions on Sunday. Gerry Van Veen met up with Gary Windsor in the final, where Windsor earned the win with a .006 MOV.

Open Comp saw Terry Haynal score a perfect .000 reaction time during qualifying. As eliminations progressed, Jon M. Pickering took out Larry Geddes, while Don Carver took the stripe against son Brent Carver on his way to the final. Pickering took the stripe over Don Carver for the win.

The unique Super Stang class drew out the coolest in ’05-newer Mustang machines, and 2009 Champion Chris Parisi faced off against Shannon Papier (above) in the finals. There, Papier earned the first-ever female Super Stang win.
