UEM Pro Stock Bike

From the start of the season it’s looked likely that Jesper Thiel and the Sovereign G2 Buell would be the combination to beat in UEM Pro Stock Bike, and qualifying ended up with the Dane sitting on top of the 8 bike field (Tierp being the first departure from a 16 bike PSB ladder this season) with a 7.102/187 almost a tenth ahead of Fredrik Fredlund in second spot. In the first pair of eliminations Thiel dipped into the 7.0s with a 7.089/186 to defeat Dave Beck, and then 7.112 took out team mate Rasmus Olesen in the semis. Fredlund would provide Thiel’s opposition in the final and in a classic V-Twin v Suzuki match-up the Buell’s front wheel would cut the finish line beams first with a 7.145 to a 7.159.

Although he had to be content with second spot in qualifying and eliminations, Fredrik Fredlund was having a weekend to remember after a week to forget under the tutelage of Gary Stoffer. Stoffer was bringing over a big inch motor for the Tierp weekend, but that got delayed and resulted in something of a sleepless thrash to get the bullet installed before the meeting. Once that was achieved Stoffer helped Fredlund gained some insights into what has propelled Karen Stoffer to the front of the Full Throttle standings this season, and the opening round of eliminations produced the quickest and fastest run in Europe with a 7.048/190.21mph. Just missing out on the back-up for the ET record in the semis, a 7.137/189.78 provided enough at the top end to take the TS mark back to Åland and add another runner into the chase for the first six in UEM Pro Stock Bike.
