Fire in Finland and another brief flamer in qualifying didn’t particularly bode well for the Bacho Tools/MPM dragster of Micke Kågered, although a sixth spot on the ladder at least got him in the field. When first round opponent Anita Mäkelä blitzed the slicks at the hit, Kågered was able to pick up his first round win of the season with a belt shedding 8.495 and the Swede lit the winlight in the semis with a 5.157 against Stig Neergaard to get into the trophy runoff for the first time since victory at the 2008 NitrOlympX.
