Koretsky tells Tonglet to ‘go fish’

The 2012 Pro Stock Motorcycle season opener in Gainesville, Fla., last weekend turned out to be anything but what LE Tonglet and Nitro Fish owner Kenny Koretsky expected.

While Tonglet ran a very strong race with the horsepower in his Suzuki GSXR, it was obvious to Koretsky that it was not enough to overcome the apparent lack of parity in the class. After Gainesville, and much discussion with team owner Gary Tonglet and LE, Koretsky went in a different direction.

"Let me start by saying that this was no easy decision to make. I believe in the abilities of LE Tonglet and his family 110 percent. To me, LE is the best rider in NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle racing, but in these hard economic times, I need to be smart with my money.

"Even the best riders cannot overcome the current separation of parity that now exists between the three manufacturer brands in PSM.  For this reason alone, I have regretfully decided to immediately cease all support for LE and his family.

I hope that this very unfair and unfortunate non-parity situation can be resolved sometime in the near future so Nitro Fish can reconsider its position on this matter.” (Adam Cranmer photo) [3/16/2012]

Ford continues sponsorship with PSCA
