With Fenice done, Berens had a single in the Victory Performance NSS final, not only giving him the win but also the series championship! On his final run, Berens ran it out, clocking a 10.02 at 135 mph with a .043 reaction.

For the third year in a row, the series points championship was decided by the final pass of the season. Dennis Diepenbrock had to settle for second and was one of the first to congratulate Berens. Dan Beale ended up third and was the only racer who finished in the top five in Victory points in 2011 and repeated in 2012. Wally Krueger finished in fourth place and Scott Bourrell took fifth with a strong finish at Indy.
