South Georgia Motorsports Park hosted a true world challenge on Nov. 9-11, when drag bike teams from Europe, Asia, South America and all across North America came together for the third and final race of the 2012 Manufacturers Cup series. And just like their four-wheeled cousins on the NHRA side of things, the nitro bikes and their riders were the stars of the show.
There were two nitro classes at SGMP that weekend: Top Fuel and Pro Dragster. Larry “Spiderman” McBride from Newport News, Va., dominated in Top Fuel as he qualified number one and went on to win the race and this year’s Manufacturers Cup championship.
