During Friday night’s qualifying Raymond Commisso had an explosive crash in the Aeromotive Pro Modified class. His Camaro got loose and took a hard left, crashing into the concrete barrier and even breaking the barrier free. A huge fireball then shot up from the high-speed crash and oil spill.
Commisso got out of the car almost immediately and under his own power and suffered no serious injuries.

“I took my foot off the gas when I felt the car start to get into trouble, but the automatic shifter shifted and the car just jumped and took off on me,” Commisso said. “There was nothing I could do about it at that point and I was just along for the ride.”
