Supercharged/turbocharged Pro Mods

As expected, the eight-car supercharged/turbocharged class delivered both the Low ET and Top Speed of the meet.

Tim O’Hare set Low ET of the meet in first round with his supercharged ‘68 Camaro recording a 5.934/238.30 to beat Maryland racer Tommy Gray’s supercharged GTO. Those were the only two cars in the supercharged division in the five-second zone.

O’Hare eased into the semifinals with a 6.198/235.84 beating of Cary Capano, who coasted to a losing 10.435/83.83.

Steve Drummond’s turbocharged Mustang set a new track speed record in the finals with a 5.974/246.80 blast.

On the other side of the ladder Drummond kept up his string of five-second laps with a 5.994/243.11 beating of Ohio racer Larry Higginbotham, who made a race of it with a slight holeshot and a 6.192/223.21 effort.

In the final O’Hare inexplicably went .084 red and Drummond motored to the easy win with yet another five-second pass.
