Scott has been racing this car for more than 30 years and it was originally a Max Wedge car sold by the famous Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge dealership in Chicago.

Beale advanced on a bye run.

In the semifinals Bourrell knew he would have to be on his game in his fourth round match-up with Beale. Unfortunately, he was a little too ready and bulbed, leaving .07 early against Beale who had a .039 RT and then ran a 7.004 on his 7.00 index.

Diepenbrock and his consistent Max Wedge powered Plymouth got the bye into the Finals from his #2 Qualifying position.

In the finals Beale's reputation may have gotten his opponent Diepenbrock to “push” the tree a little and he went .08 red, allowing Beale to cruise to his first victory of the season with a stout .040 package. He cut .02 light and went just .02 over his 7.00 dial.
