Roger Garten didn’t improve on his Friday night time of 6.204 at 215.57 on Saturday’s run and stayed in the fifth spot. Dennis LaCharite, Brad Thompson and Brad Faria rounded out the rest of the eight-car field with mid six-second passes.

Hale received a bye in the first round after Faria was unable to make the call and ripped off a 5.915 at 244.09 which would guarantee lane choice for the semi finals matchup against Rupert, who beat Garten in round one with a 5.966 at 241.33 to a 6.198 at 231.17.

Brad Thompson

Krabill got the best of Thompson with a slowing 6.077 at 236.04 but it was enough to hold off the Wheel Vintiques 1970 Nova, which could only muster up a 6.428 at 218.98.

Will Martin

Martin was paired with LaCharite and got the win with a 6.066 at 231.69 to a losing 6.723 at 146.02 and would face Krabill in the semis.
