Marc Meadors took his third Pro Mod Slammers event win in three events after qualifying third out of four total cars that showed up. He beat Troy Ferry in round one and met up with Bret Williamson in the final round, who had a bye in the first round when Scott Bailey couldn’t make the call to the lanes.

Meadors (near lane) got the event win over Williamson on a holeshot, his .108, 6.273 at 237.31 package was better by six-thousandths of a second (or two feet at the stripe) than Williamson’s .123, 6.264 at 224.56.

Nine cars were running in the 6.90 Slammers class and Jerry Jahnsen worked his way from the number one qualifying spot to beat number seven qualifier Ralph Willis in the final round with a 6.943 at 189.78 to a 7.031 at 188.99. The 7.60 Slammers had six entries and once again it was Rob Patten and Mark Lawson both making their way to another final round. Lawson was number one qualifier and got the easy event win after Patton redlit by four-hundredths of a second.

The 7.0 Pro class had only seven entries, and it came down to number-four qualifier Don Dicero and number-six qualifier Dan Whiteman in the final round. Whiteman strapped a .046 reaction time to Dicero’s .131 and got the win on a holeshot with a 7.723 at 170.90 to a 7.662 at 166.59.

Pro Comp made its first appearance at Sacramento Raceway this 2012 season. Six drivers showed up with Butch Stroupe leading the pack after qualifying was all said and done. Stroupe got by Jesse Adams in round one and had a ladder bye into the final where he would face young Makinna Clevenger from El Dorado Hills, Calif. Clevenger beat Les Davenport in the first round when Davenport went -.006 red and then Steve LaBurn in round two to earn her spot in the final round. Stroupe would get the event win on a holeshot in the 6.60 indexed Pro Comp class with a .022, 6.684 at 185.54 to Clevenger’s .061, 6.665 at 200.66 package.

The West Coast Pro Gas Association had 42 racers stretched between five classes, B-F gas (8.60-12.60 indexes). Mike Winston got the B/Gas win over Kevin McClain when McClain went -.008 red in the final round. Chris Rea beat Jim Finn in C/Gas with a 9.603 to Finn’s way too fast 8.976. The D/Gas title went to Dan Ficher in his ’64 Fairlane over Joe Grace with a 10.667 to a losing 10.773. John Victorino picked up the D/Gas win over Chaysse Trimp with an 11.618 to an 11.648 and in the F/Gas class it was Chuck Adams getting the win over David Rudd with a 12.791 to a 12.845.

The Drag Bike class was won by Ed Bradell on a 2005 Kawasaki ZX10R with a 9.936 on a 9.87 dial in over Ron Alves who was riding a ’78 Kawasaki. Alves broke out by six-thousandths of a second handing Bradell the win with a 10.304 on a 10.31 dial in.
