Round Two

Smith cut a .110 light and ran 3.94/183.89 to defeat Baldwin, who slowed to 4.65 at 117 mph.

Just as Hector started for the water box his parachute came out and he was shut off. In a show of sportsmanship, Reid shut off his ’57 and allowed Hector's crew to repack the chute. Reid cut a .022 light and ran a 4.11/159 to defeat Hector, who had the better light of .008 but slowed to a 4.63/113.

Final Round

It was an all ’57 Chevy final as “The Texas Bounty Hunter” Smith faced Reid. Reid, who had lane choice (the slower car gets lane choice in Texas Outlaw Pro Mods), put Smith in the Tower lane, which most of the time is the slower lane.

Reid cut a .024 light to Smith's late .121 but only ran 4.19 at 153 after losing traction about the 330 lights, handing Smith's 3.96 run the win.

The next Texas Outlaw Pro Mod race at Texas Raceway will be July 20.
