After running poorly earlier in the season, Bill Trovato has re-established himself as a frontrunner in Aeromotive Xtreme Street after winning his second consecutive race of the season when he piloted his ’78 Olds Starfire to a 7.99 to 8.03 victory over Phil Smith and his 2002 Trans Am.

In Stainless Works 275 Drag Radial, Jason Lee put the fourth notch of the season in his belt after his ’86 Mustang outdistanced the ’85 Mustang of first time finalist Sean Ashe in a 7.49 to 7.96 final round match.

Don Baskin was back on top in Comp Cams Pro Stock after pushing his naturally aspirated ’67 Nova through the field, eventually winning a lackluster final over Greg Delaney after Delaney’s 2001 Trans Am left before the tree activated, giving Baskin the automatic win.

In B&B Race Cars Mean Street, Jeremy Gilliam continued his dominance of the class by winning his fourth race of the season after his ’91 Mustang outpaced the ’98 Mustang of Brandon Alsept in a 9.86 to 10.09 final round win.

In Tremec True Street, Jason Meador was able to squeeze an 8.89 three-lap average out of his ’90 Mustang to win the category over Randy Thomas, whose 2010 Shelby Mustang averaged 9.77.

This event also played host to the Dave Duell Classic, featuring the nation’s top Nostalgia Super Stock racers. This year Rosie Kossuth and her ’64 Coronet visited the winner’s circle after defeating Jeff Frees and his ’64 Belvedere in an all Mopar final.

Other action included Keith Broyles grabbing his first NMCA win in a couple years after defeating Jim Wickus in Eaton Posi Nostalgia Muscle Car, while Donald Carver defeated Wade Vincent in Hawk Performance Open Comp. In Lakewood Late Model EFI action, father and son racers David and Tim Rickey met each other in the final round for the second time this season with David taking the win.
