Round 1

Harry Crane

First round parings started with number two in points, E.J. Hickl, looking to take full advantage of Chris Domino being out of competition after his accident. Hickl was paired with Eddie Roach in his black and orange ‘63 Vette. After his burnout, Roach lost fire and had trouble getting it started again. Once fired back up, he began to back up and lost fire once more. After well over a minute Hickl was given the sign for a single run and with the heat build up in the converter waiting, the black beast just overpowered the track and he ended with a pedaling 6.00/85.75.

The next pair saw the Razorback Rocket, Harry Crane, in his nitrous-boosted Camaro running Brandt’s blown ZR1 Corvette. This was no contest as Crane powered through to a 4.34/170.33 to take the win over Brandt’s troubled and wounded 16.00/28.68.
