Krabill reflected back on how the team was able to bounce back from a DNQ in Bakersfield to take the win in Boise. “This sport is very humbling; one minute you’re a champ, the next minute you’re a chump. But when the stars align and the team does what it needs to do, and the driver can pull off what he needs to do, it all comes together for a win.”

Bucky’s Bunch

This is the same sentiment echoed by Bucky Austin talking about bouncing back from Bakersfield. “Drag racing is a very humbling sport,” he said. “you have to take the good with the bad, and there are usually not very many good times -- but we have been fortunate.”

Austin was also quick to point out how tough the competition has become in the AA Funny Car class. “We are very fortunate; there are four or five guys that could have won this thing. You’re going up against Swearingen, and the ‘California Hustler’ guys they stepped up. You had to get your stuff together that is for sure, so my hat’s off to all of them.”

On this weekend, it appears that Bucky Austin and Kris Krabill was the ignitors for the Ignitor 2013.
