Two Qualifying Rounds, Three Elimination Rounds, Four Lanes

Although afternoon rain showers and the possibility of tornados in the area forced NHRA officials to cancel the Friday qualifying session mid-way through Pro Stock, the Dollar General Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway went on. There were only two Saturday qualifying sessions and eliminations started at noon on Sunday since only three rounds would be run.

For the second year in a row, Spencer Massey and the Battery Extender Powered by Schumacher Top Fuel team led by crew chiefs Phil Shuler and Todd Okuhara were celebrating an event win at zMAX Dragway.

"The last two years we've taken the Wally home," Massey said of the NHRA trophy. "If you think about it, Todd and Phil have had an awesome car and an awesome team for a number of years, dating back to when Cory McClenathan won here for DSR.
