Shane Stymiest continued his top qualifier streak in Strange Engineering Coyote Stock, running a 10.605-second best qualifying effort, putting him only .04-second ahead of the number two qualifier, Joe Charles. Stymiest’s elapsed times continued to lead the way in eliminations, putting him through to the final where he met Joe Marini. As the tree dropped, Stymiest jumped out front and continued to pull on Marini, lighting up the scoreboards with a 10.75 to Marini’s 10.89 for his third win in a row.

Matt Amrine lead the Nitto Tire Factory Stock qualifying charge with a 10.749 at 124.76 miles per hour, which put him a quarter-second ahead of the next nearest competitor, going into eliminations. Amrine did indeed make it to the final where he met Matt Williams. Amrine led the whole way, but slowed on the top end, still taking the win light, 10.94 to Williams’ 11.33.
