FIM-Europe Pro Stock Bike

After a slightly sub-par season opener, Fredrik Fredlund has been just about untouchable since with a record setting win in Finland being followed by a points sweep in Germany with a 7.063 pacing the field and round wins over Kenneth Holmberg, Karl-Heinz Weikum and Kalle Lyrén made it back to back event trophies (and five out of the last six) for the PAF Suzuki. The only downside for Fredlund was the loss of his FIM-Europe Pro Stock Bike speed record to Weikum, but a third championship is nudging closer to Åland.

FIM-Europe Super Street Bike Cup

The NitrOlymp’X hosted the second round of the Super Street Bike Cup (with two further events in Hungary and England to come) and this one was almost a repeat of the opener at Santa Pod, with Dave Holland setting a scorching pace through qualifying (low at a 7.219) and taking the event win over Garry Bowe in the final (although almost tripping up in the opening round and quarter-finals during eliminations with a drop of pace into the eight second zone). Unlike the Santa Pod round, Holland didn’t set any records. It wasn’t for the lack of trying with a super quick 206.71mph accompanying the low qualifier effort, but the ProStreetBusa rider didn’t manage to get the back-up during the rest of the meeting despite being well over 200mph on another two occasions.
