Super Twin Bike

The Nordic Super Twin field was a bit of a hit and miss affair, with only three bikes in the sixes (Per Bengtsson qualifying low with a 6.558, followed by Samu Kemppainen and Hans Olav Olstad) and the sixteen bike eliminator being an exercise in survival of the fittest than a series of side-by-side races. With Olstad being the only member of the quick trio to survive beyond the final four, a 7.347 was quicker that final round opponent Trond Jostein Høiberget’s 7.400, but the Spirit of Toten rider crossed the stripe first thanks to a sizeable holeshot.

Pro Stock Bike

Bouncing back from a serious back injury during the offseason, Elvira Karlsson has been producing some impressive numbers on the Teisab Suzuki whilst not quite making it to the podium. The Scandinavian Internationals produced an almost perfect birthday present for the Swedish teenager as she recorded her first PSB win with a superb PB 7.021/189 run in the final alongside Kalle Lyrén’s 7.054 (also a PB). If we were being greedy a six was almost in grasp, but Elvira is now very much in the running to be the first into the six second zone in Europe.
