Although blighted by tireshake in the later elimination rounds, Robinson took low ET honours with a 6.177 in the opening round of eliminations that marked a new best mark for the Yenko Camaro that he debuted at the start of this season despite a big lift at half track; the accompanying terminal speed of 237.66mph representing a PB for the veteran driver and race car builder, and gives the team a lot to look forward to in 2014.

The outgoing MSA champion Roger Moore also had cause for celebration, although he had ceded his title by joining competition halfway through the season, as a 6.622/212.07 took away his previous PBs with the Shakespeare Engineering/Challenger Solutions Viper in the opening round of eliminations and the ET mark was obliterated with a 6.569/209.94 loss to Robinson at the semifinal stage.
