There was a field of seven HAMBsters in attendance with Jeff Danglmaier topping qualifying with a best of 13.418. For eliminations they were run on a Chicago Shootout format with three rounds and a final. Taking three wins each were Jeremy Boskovich in his flat head powered car and Steve Danglmaier in a straight six Chev powered HAMB. The latter couldn’t make the call for the final so Boskovich took an easy solo 14.715/88.32 victory.

The Stock/Nostalgia Super Stock bracket saw 38 cars face the starter.  James Barnes qualified ninth with an 11.195 in his Ford XT Falcon and then went through five rounds of racing to earn a place in the final. There he faced the Ford XY Falcon of Phillip Pratt who’s 351 Cleveland powered car had qualified with an 11.997. In the final Pratt changed his dial-in to an 11.95 while Barnes’ was an 11.23. Barnes had the better reaction (.065 to a 0.88) and slowly reeled in the fellow Falcon flyer with a 0.086 over 11.316 passing a second best 0.079 over 12.029 in a hole-shot victory.
