Nostalgia Funny Car

The six nostalgia funny cars on site had a bit of a mixed weekend with Ramon van der Weurf and the Wild’r at Heart Dodge, dropping the Dutchman’s PB on pretty much each outing over the weekend and culminating in a superb 6.384/215.03 from the methanol Charger to take the event final over Wendy Baker and Paul Stubbing’s Time Warp Mustang. Baker also stole the show on the Saturday night drive-in screening of Snake and Mongoose by cackling her way around the facility to join the astonished patrons that had already parked up.

The Apache Trans Am of Garlick & Antoniou was also solidly in PB territory with Tim Garlick booting towards his first full passes and getting firmly into 6.4 territory will plenty still left to come from the I.C.E. Automotive tuned stunner that has been gradually working its way to full passes since debuting at Dragstalgia last year.
