FIM-Europe Pro Stock Bike

What was anticipated to be a replay of the Gert-Jan and Fredlund show that has developed in the earlier part of the year was interpreted by Laseur leaving almost a day early in his first round match up with debutant Remi Morel, this would open up the lower half of the ladder for a resurgent Karl Heinz Weikum to make the final in front of his home crowd. However, the top half of the ladder was all Fredrik Fredlund and the PAF Suzuki. Low qualifier, low ET (7.131), top speed and the event win saw the NitrOlymp’X title heading to Åland, and, barring something completely left field, so will a fourth title (and the third in a row).

FIM-Europe Super Street Bike Cup

The NitrOlymp’X had a surprise winner in Super Street Bike not least because Brad O’Connor only took up the ride on Frank Field’s Hayabusa because Field’s brother Pete was unable to make the event. Never mind the late entry, O’Connor maintained both tuning duties on a number of the British entries and refreshed his riding skills to take the win over a tyre spinning Mogens Lund (also a first time FIM-Europe SSB Cup finalist) with a 7.409/201.10.
