NHRA pros at Reading, PA

Chilly with a Touch of Weird

It was a Sunday filled with surprises and upsets at the NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway near Reading, Pennsylvania.

Tony Schumacher continued his recent blitz through the Top Fuel ranks, and now has 2462 points, 132 points over second-place Doug Kalitta, going into the final two events of the 2014 season.

There was more celebration in the Don Schumacher Racing camp as Matt Hagan bumped John Force out of first place in the Funny Car points. Rodger Brogdon took advantage of other drivers’ problems to get a Pro Stock win for the second time in his racing career. Eddie Krawiec’s PS Motorcycle win kept the Harleys at the top of the points.
