Race Winner Russ Berens and his 1967 Plymouth. He was also #1 Qualifier.

In the Winner’s Circle, the quiet racer was visibly emotional as he realized that he was having a season that most racers could only dream of. He not only virtually guaranteed himself his second Victory Championship which has not been done before, he is the first 3 time event winner in a single season as well as having the most total wins with 4. It is unlikely that we will ever see anyone dominate a season like Beren’s has.

The final race of the Victory NSS Points Series will be at Byron Dragway on October 4th & 5th during their 20th annual World Wheel Standing Championship. Even though the Championship is almost wrapped up, the other top ten positions are up for grabs with a lot of money and prizes on the line. The Victory cars will be smoking the tires and launching hard for the win at Byron.

The Victory NSS Association would like to thank the UBDRA for welcoming our group to their great event. We would also like to thank the crew and staff at Gateway Motorsports Park for an awesome track and their hospitality.
