Connolly ran a best of 3.817/284.69 on Saturday.

Unfortunately he also had a fire on Saturday afternoon, lighting it up at the hit of the pedal. What looked to be a problem with the valve cover gasket lit it up for about 100 feet down the track.  (Steve Gruenwald photo)
