Premier Street Car Association at Fontana, Calif.

17 year old Deuschle wins!

A few months ago I was watching a Jr. Dragster final at Fontana when a young girl just pasted her competition on the start. My thoughts drifted to Erica Enders, a national Jr. Dragster champion who has now set the professional drag racing ranks on their ear. Is that how it was, I thought?

Sunday, Oct. 11, at Auto Club Dragway during the Premier Street Car Association season points final, that same young lady, now 17, won the Brodix Bracket 1, one of Mel Roth’s most popular categories. Her name is Emma Deuschle from Palmdale, Calif. She was driving one of the most attractive and colorful Corvettes that race regularly in PSCA competition.

And she won against a man considered one of the best bracket racers ever, ageless Dick Kreiger, the King of OCIR Bracket Racing in the ’70s, and still a big money winner in Southland events with his American Dream ’23T roadster.
