The RB30 Nissan-powered Holden Commodore of George Haramis spits out some flames as he comes into stage during Modified 10.5 eliminations. Haramis got lucky in the first round that saw him break off the line but opponent Adam Nuner red lighted. Round 2 saw Haramis get back with the program with a winning 7.731/178.85 over James Thomas’ 8.903. This put him in the final with Justin Wilkinson’s similar entry and while he took over a tenth off the line at about the ten foot mark the car came off boost allowing his opponent through for the win.

The Nitto 11 ’92 Nissan R 32 GTR of Trent Whyte reset his own World Record for the quickest and fastest outright GT-R on radials with a 7.858 @ 180.60mph in the second round of the Modified Compact bracket. Despite the stunning time a spooling up 4.105 reaction time wiped out any chance of a win.

The Street 289 bracket saw Ciprian Pascu totally dominate eliminations in his 13B turboed ’77 RX2. While this saw him use a 9.20 dial-in he only needed a 10.86 to turn back his opponent who slowed to a 12 second time. The next two rounds saw him actually run solos when each of his opponents broke. He ran a 9.359 and then an 11.278 to claim the gold.
