Magnafuel Extreme Drag Radial is reserved for those running cars running on a "true” 10.5-inch tire. The cars that compete here can see in excess of 2,000 horsepower and are a handful to drive. Johnny Coleman of Lakewood, Calif., wheeled his ’69 Camaro to the number-one qualifying spot with a 4.837 at 158.19 mph. Unfortunately for Coleman, engine problems plagued him and he was not able to compete in the final round, giving the win to Anthony Smith in this class. 

Mickey Thompson Tires Wild Street saw long time West Coast heads-up racer George Raygoza in his ’68 Nova fly right to the number one spot with a 4.910 at 149. 20 mph. In finals, George matched up with North Las Vegas racer Derek Peppers in his ’88 Mustang. In a close final, Raygoza took the win with a 4.922 at 148.01 to Peppers'  5.135 at 148.35.
