By the time Round four came around, the standing room only crowd was at its peak of excitement. Six Victory combatants rolled to staging lanes. Jason Krueger’s .02 light and 10.55 on his 10.50 index forced Berens and his silver Hemi Plymouth to break out with a 9.96 ET. Jerry Kuenster continued his string of incredible lights with a .028 to end Bruemer’s day. Mike Kurz and his red Super Stock Dodge took out 2013 Champion Tom Hoffman. With the late hour and the impending dew, the decision was made to finish Eliminations on Sunday morning.
Sunday brought bright sunshine and the Victory NSS cars continued where they had left off the night before. Jason Krueger’s .07 light and 10.54 took out the slowing Kurz. Jerry Kuenster had the Bye into the Finals. The two Wisconsin Racers quickly returned to decide the victor. Jason Krueger in his mean Max Wedge 64 Plymouth against the beautiful 409 powered 1959 Chevy. Krueger’s clutch .05 reaction was enough to turn on the win light in the double break-out race.
