Sue & Tom Motry with their crew were unloading one of the featured performers for this weekend’s Nostalgia event. It is the Chicagoland match racing legend, ‘Drastic Plastic’. The unique car started out as a ’37 Dodge until a fire erupted in South Carolina years ago. (100% Nitro will do that). An Anglia body was used, as the market for ’37 Dodges has long since dried up. Tom did salvage the original Dodge grille. He gives much of his match racing savvy to mentor and friend Austin Coil, another long time Chicagoland racer of considerable note!
