Doug Kalitta went up in smoke in the semifinal, moving Torrence into the final.

“Our luck just ran out in the finals against Antron,” Torrence said, “but it was a great overall weekend despite a lot of crazy twists with the rain and the way the ladder worked out.”

Kalitta had won three events in a row.

"When you are on such a high you never want to slow down," said Kalitta, who retains the Top Fuel points lead. "I am so proud of these Mac Tools guys. We will see if we can start another streak next weekend."
