The worrying times for the Top Methanol (Alcohol) classes in Europe continue with only three alky floppers in attendance and just a single dragster in licensing mode. Of the trio competing for TMFC honors, it was the Finnish that had the best of things with Johnny Oksa (fresh of his first class win at the preceding Swedish round) setting a new personal best mark with a 5.661/253.23 to continue his strong vein of form, and a first round solo 5.741/252.94 would have led to a final head to head with the man he deposed as quickest Finn Ari Pietilä who also dipped into the fives in qualifying after burning a piston or two in the opening session.
