There was a lot of excitement and anticipation going in to the Victory Nostalgia Super Stock series finals. Randy Vanhook entered the finals at Gateway Motorsports Park with the points lead but close to 10 other racers had a shot at the Victory Championship Crown.

Forty-one classic Super Stocks made the trek to the beautiful Gateway quarter-mile track to battle in the shadow of the iconic Gateway Arch.

After three rounds of Qualifying, Bob Lister and his popular GTO took the #1 position with a nearly perfect 11.006 on his 11.00 Index. Right behind him, points leader Vanhook was making his claim for the title with a .008-over on his 10.75 Index.
